Volunteer for the council's Merit Badge Days

Merit Badge Days are an opportunity for Scouts in troops, crews or ships to work on merit badge requirements.

Thank you for volunteering to serve as a merit badge counselor. As counselors volunteer, we are able to offer opportunities for Scouts to take classes.

Merit badge counselors must have current Youth Protection Training and also be registered with the council as a merit badge counselor. The Scouts will be expected to complete all the requirements as indicated by the Boy Scouts of America. Merit badge counselors should wear their field uniform, if possible.

We hope to add events and classes at both the Cockrell Scout Center and at council camps (e.g., Camp Strake) as schedule permits and merit badge counselors and staff are available.

In addition, several districts hold merit badge events.
