Determined Spirit Scholarship
The Determined Spirit Scholarship is to honor the memory of our fallen Vigil brother, J. Henry Furler. His Vigil name was DEGUGOTANV ADANVDO meaning Determined Spirit. This scholarship is awarded to an active Colonneh Lodge, Order of the Arrow member. The scholarship winner will receive a voucher to attend their choice of a BSA high adventure trek: Philmont OA Trail Crew, Florida Sea Base Crew, Northern Tier OA Wilderness Voyage, or OA Bechtel Summit Experience. Henry's family and another family in Colonneh Lodge family will provide $1,000 for travel and gear.
This scholarship recipient should be nominated by a chapter chief, chapter officer, chapter adviser, or lodge representative. The scholarship is awarded at Colonneh Lodge Fall Pow Wow closing campfire. The applicant must be present at Fall Pow Wow to be eligible to be selected.
