This special Roundtable is for all Scouting families to see the different activities and resources available to units in the Phoenix area.
Roundtable is a district monthly meeting to help unit leaders plan and carry out their own program. Roundtable is a form of supplemental training for volunteers.

| ScoutFest is an all-day event for Scouts of all ages. Cub Scouts and Scouts BSA members will have the chance to try age-appropriate activities.
$10 for Cub Scouts
$20 for Scouts in troops, crews and ships
$10 for adults who want to shoot
There is no charge for adults who do not wish to shoot. |

| | Phoenix District Day Camp | June 20-24 | 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. | Burroughs Park (9738 Huffsmith Rd., Tomball TX 77375) | It’s time to saddle up the horses, put on boots and a cowboy hat, and round up all Cub Scouts to experience Texas Wild Day Camp! Day camp is a council camp organized by districts and conducted by volunteers from the local area for Cub Scouts entering 1st through 5th grade the next school year. Day camp is a week of fun with awesome programs and activities such as BB guns, archery, sports, STEM, games and crafts, rank advancements, Scout skills and more. Many volunteers are needed to make camp a success, so please consider volunteering.
The registration fee is $76.50 for the first Scout and $75 for each additional Scout. The registration fees include a t-shirt, patch, program supplies and a water bottle. Adult Volunteers and Day Camp Staff are needed, and Scouts-BSA Troop Members and Venturers can sign up to be part of our Junior Staff (please fill out a Jr Staff Application when you register!). All youth entering 1st grade through age 18 must be registered with the Boy Scouts of America. A registered parent/guardian must be onsite at all times when tot-lots (ages 3-5 future Scouts) and Tigers (Scouts going into 1st grade) are at camp.

The Order of the Arrow is the national honor society of the Boy Scouts of America and recognizes Scouts and Scouters who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives.
OA chapter meetings provide youth Arrowmen an opportunity to develop a plan to support units in the district, promote upcoming events, participate in ceremony team preparation and regalia building, learn leadership skills and have fun.

| First Aid & Wilderness First Aid
Classes taught at Cockrell Scout Center
First aid training gives participants the information and skills needed to help during many emergency situations. First Aid, CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and AED (automated external defibrillator) trainings are universally recognized for their effectiveness.
Wilderness First Aid is the assessment of and treatment given to an ill or injured person in a remote environment where definitive care by a physician and/or rapid transport is not readily available. Click here for more details.

| News from ERM | Hello Scouters! Please note that SHAC has issued a new update on Covid Guidelines for scouting. This is Communication #16. The State and CDC continue to be the guide for our activities with SHAC giving us some specific guidelines that apply to scouting activities. Please Note that Districts are no longer required to submit their activity plans to the Council ERM Committee. You should, however, continue to have the District ERM review your plans for District activities. In addition, utilizing he Covid Pre-Event medical checklist is recommended. The forms are not required to be turned in at Council Camp activities. Safety continues to be a guiding practice to allow all events to be conducted with scouter and adults in a safe and positive manner. Safety is everyones responsibility. |

Phoenix District Cookbook | To all the awesome Quartermasters, Chefs, cooks, scouts, moms and dads, it is time to begin to collect camping recipes for our Phoenix District Cookbook. Camping Chair Clara Martin will provide a submission form that can be shared with your den, troop, unit, pack, etc. This will list the categories for the cookbook. Please share this form with your scouters and provide your recipes to be shared across our District. | | Camping locations & feedback | Please send Camping Chair Clara Martin any feedback regarding your camping locations. This will begin to build a resource for all units in our area.

| Information and registration is avaialble for Summer Camp at Camp Strake. Summer camp is a week-long council-organized overnight camp for Scouts BSA that operates under council-retained leadership. The program provides opportunities for Scouts to earn merit badges along their advancement trail.
Super Troop: July 3-9 or July 10-16
Super troop is a temporary troop made up of Scouts from troops around the council. Super Troop is a fantastic opportunity for Scouts to attend an extra week of summer camp, for a Scout to attend camp individually if they can't attend camp with their unit, or for those Scouts who just like to camp.

| July is the month for Cub Scout Resident Camp, a three-night outdoor summer experience for Cub Scouts and their families at Bovay Scout Ranch. Cub Scouts and their families can enjoy an exciting variety of activities at several program areas. Activities include Water Park, BB guns, archery, canoeing, guided nature hike, fishing, nature studies, sports, swimming and more. NOVA Wild program and Shooting Sports Pin program are just two of the opportunities offered during summer program. Registration is open. |
