Shooting Sports Training - University or Scouting
The Shooting Sports Committee offers several NRA shooting sports classes. These courses are for registered BSA Scouters and youth (ages 14-18).

Participants can attend Part 1, Part 2, Part 3 or all of the trainings. Part 1 must be renewed every two years and must be current to attend Part 2 or 3.
Part 1:
Friday, 6-10 pm
NRA Basic Instructor Training
(BIT)
Part 2:
Saturday, 8 am - 5 pm
NRA Basic Rifle Instructor
(ILT-BRS)
and
NRA Basic Rifle Shooting
(BRI)
Part 3:
Sunday, 8 am - 5 pm
NRA Basic Shotgun Shooting
(ILT-BSS)
and
NRA Basic Shotgun Instructor
(BSI)
What to Bring:
Copy of
BSA Annual Health and Medical Record
(part A&B for all Scouting events)
Copy of
Activity Consent Form
, for every youth participant
(ages 21 and under)
Water, snacks (eat dinner before arriving)
Note-taking materials
Camping gear, if camping

$50.00 per Part 1 only: Basic Instructor Training (Fri 6-10 pm)

$200.00 per Part 2 only: Basic Rifle Instructor (Sat 8am-5pm)
$200.00 per Part 3 only: Basic Shotgun & Shotgun Instructor (Sun 8am-5pm)
