Shooting Sports Training - Pistol
The Shooting Sports Committee offers several NRA shooting sports classes. These courses are for registered BSA Scouters and youth (ages 14-18).
Pistol shooting is reserved for the youth who are involved in the Venturing and Sea Scouting programs only.

Participants can attend Part 1 and/or Part 2. Part 1 must be renewed every two years and must be current to attend Part 2.
December 10, 2021
Friday,
6-10 pm
Part 1:
NRA Basic Instructor Training
(BIT)
(only need to take once if taking multiple courses)
December 11, 2021
Saturday,
8 am - 5 pm
Part 2:
NRA Basic Pistol Shooting
(ILT-BPS) and
NRA Basic Pistol Instructor
(BPI)
Participants can camp on Friday night.
What to Bring:
Copy of
BSA Annual Health and Medical Record
(part A&B for all Scouting events)
Copy of
Activity Consent Form
, for every youth participant
(ages 21 and under)
Water, snacks (eat dinner before arriving)
Note-taking materials
Tent and camping gear if camping on Friday night

Cost
$250.00 per Part 1 & 2: BIT & Basic Pistol & Pistol Instructor (Fr & Sat)
$50.00 per Part 1 only: Basic Instructor Training (Fri 6-10 pm)
$200.00 per Part 2 only: Basic Pistol & Pistol Instructor (Sat 8am-5pm)
