Ordeal Candidates
Scouts, in troops, crews and ships who were elected to the Order of the Arrow after February 1, 2019, have 24 months from the date of election to complete their Ordeal (typically its one year). You do not have to participate in a call-out ceremony before going through your Ordeal. You must complete the Ordeal to become an official member of the Order of the Arrow.
The latest State of Texas and Center for Disease Control and Maintenance (CDC) recommendations on the day of the event will be followed. Participants will be notified before the event of the specific recommendations and all participants must follow any procedures recommended by the council's Enterprise Risk Management Committee. These could include things such as completing a pre-event screening form, temperature checks, wearing a mask (unless for medical reasons), limiting group sizes that remain together during the event, frequent hand washing, and/or social distancing. See the council's COVID-19 "At-Risk" Participant Statement. Participants who are sick or displaying any COVID-19 symptoms should not attend; registration can be transferred to a future Ordeal.
Pre-Ordeal Virtual Orientation: All candidates must attend a virtual orientation. Choose from two dates. Click register and a link will open in a new window. Remember to return to complete this registration. The links will also be in the receipt in case you need to register later.
