Every pack, troop, team, crew, ship and post is encouraged to participate in Scout Fair. Units that participate at Scout Fair, with a booth or as a service unit, earn an additional 10% commission on Scout Fair Coupon Book Sales.

To receive the additional 10% commission for booth/serice participation and to comply with the city of Houston fire code deadline, units must register by Friday, April 21, 2017 as space allows. NO registrations are available following the April 21 registration deadline. See below for recent changes & updates.

BOOTH PARTICIPANTS:

  • Due to the nature of space requirements, approval of your booth application will be sent to your Unit Booth Chairman and Unit Committee Chair within 7-10 days of your registration.
  • Limited booth spaces (indoors and outdoors) are available on a first come, first served basis.
  • All booth furnishings must be supplied by the unit. Tables and chairs are availabe for rental ONLY through this online registration process.
  • There will be NO Friday set-up.
  • There will be NO electricity available for purchase or generators allowed.
  • For indoor booths, all materials must be carried in as no trailers will be allowed into Minute Maid Park.
  • Trailers will be allowed to stay at outdoor booths only if they are a part of the display.
  • Booth assignments will be e-mailed to your Unit Booth Chairman and Unit Committee Chair no later than April 30, 2017.

SERVICE UNITS:

  • Due to the change of venue, we are only accepting troop, team, crew, ship, post and group service units.
  • A representative from the OA Service Corps will contact the registered leader(s) with details of their service assignment one week prior to the event.
  • All service units must check in at the cutomer service booth to ensure proper credit.
  • Scouts are needed in many ways, whether helping to hand out flyers, unload boxes, set up areas, or assist with event breakdown.
  • Service units must have a minimum of 60% of their registered youth participating to receive the additional commission.
