The format for the Wood Badge Course is two 3-day weekends, separated by three to four weeks. In the Sam Houston Area Council, both weekends will be at Bovay Scout Ranch. Participants will be camping both weekends.

This program focuses on leadership and 'people' skills, and not Scoutcraft or outdoor skills. Participants will learn techniques to make them better leaders, and also how to lead groups to achieve objectives.

The course fee is $275.  If you would like to apply for a scholarship, awarded on an 'as needed. Scholarships are awarded in amounts up to $100.
