Texas Skies Webelos Woods

Webelos Woods is a camping event, where Webelos Scouts are invited to spend the weekend in a Scout-led environment.  The purpose of Webelos Woods is to showcase the Scout tenants of a youth-lead troop and the patrol method.

Pack/Troop Registration is strongly encouraged, however Individual Registrations will be accepted.

Fifth Grade Webelos Scouts who have earned the Arrow of Light Rank have the option of also participating in an Arrow of Light Recognition Ceremony.

The Arrow of Light Recognition Ceremony is limited to 90 participants.

Scoutmaster Position-Specific Training (S24) Training is available for Webelos Woods Attendees.

Scoutmaster Position-Specific training, course code S24, is the BSA’s initial level of training for the top leaders of Boy Scout troops. It is designed for Scoutmasters, Assistant Scoutmasters, and Junior Assistant Scoutmasters. However, committee members and other adults connected to a Boy Scout troop are welcome to attend. 

When Scoutmaster Position-Specific Training and Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) have both been completed, new Scoutmasters will have the tools needed to begin an effective Boy Scouting program.

There is no cost to attend this training.  The training class will be held on January 19^th, in the Safari Room, starting at 9:00AM.  It will take approximately 4 hours to complete.  Registrants should bring a bagged lunch and water bottle with them.
