Tall Timbers Cub Scout Leader Training Day

*All trainings start at 8:00am but end times vary.

Courses offered:

BALOO-Basic Adult Outdoor Orientation

• 8:00am to 5:00pm
• Cost: $20

This course enables a Cub Leader to plan and carry out an entry level outdoor experience for the Pack. The course helps the leader to understand the focus of the Cub Scout Level of the BSA camping program. A participant will increase his or her knowledge of BSA resources for camping and understand the necessary requirements for completion of a camping event using national and council guidelines and standards. Current BSA standards require at least one participant in each Pack camping outing to have completed this training.  For best results, add more trained leaders and mix well!
Course fee includes breakfast, lunch, and snacks.

Den Chief Training

• 8:00am to 12:00pm
• Cost:$10

This training is for the Den Chiefs, those unsung heroes of the Boy Scouts. This course teaches Den Chiefs how to deal effectively with Cub Scouts, how to amuse and entertain them, and how to teach them. The training is required for a Boy Scout to be able to wear the "TRAINED" patch under his Den Chief patch of office. So if you have a Boy Scout who is looking for excitement, or needs a tour of duty as a Den Chief, then this is the class that will teach him how to do it right.
