Scouting for Food 2017
Unit Participation Registration

Register your unit to participate in our largest Good Turn Project!

Only the Scouting for Food Coordinator must register for the unit. You DO NOT need to list every participant on this form.

Your territory will be confirmed by your district Scouting For Food chair.

SERVICE PROJECT TIMELINE:

  • January Roundtables: Pick up door hangers, assigned territory and maps.
  • Saturday, January 28, 2017: Scouts will go door-to-door in their assigned area distributing door hangers that request food donations.
  • Saturday, February 4, 2017: Scouts will return to the same areas and collect the food donations. Track the following results, complete the Scouting for Food Unit report, and submit it to your district Scouting for Food chair.
    • Amount of food collected (number of cans and boxes)
    • Number of Scout leaders, non-Scouting siblings, parents/guardians (not registered with BSA) and Scouts participating
    • Organization that benefited from the project
  • February & March:  Units must report service project hours and results to both council and on the Journey To Excellence (JTE) website. Your District Executive must have a record of your submission on the JTE website to receive your unit's patches. Upon reporting your results, your patches will be available at Roundtable.

On the following page, please enter the name and contact information of your unit's Scouting for Food coordinator. Then continue the registration process and enter additional requested information. Look for email updates and information over the next few months.
