Service Day / Ordeal Staff

Ordeals and Service Weekends are an opportunity for Arrowmen to give back by providing much-needed service to council camps!

The latest State of Texas and Center for Disease Control and Maintenance (CDC) recommendations on the date of the event will be followed. Participants will be notified before the event and all participants must follow any procedures recommended by the council's Enterprise Risk Management Committee. These could include things such as completing a pre-event screening form, temperature checks, wearing a mask (unless for medical reasons), limiting group sizes that remain together during the event, frequent handwashing, and/or social distancing. See the council's COVID-19 "At-Risk" Participant Statement. Participants who are sick or displaying any COVID-19 symptoms should not attend; registration can be transferred to a future Ordeal. 

Staff Training 

Every staff member must attend online training. Register for Staff Training (the link will open in a new tab), then complete your staff registration using the register link below. The RSVP links will also be in the emailed receipt. Choose one:

• Feb 9 (Tues) at 7pm: RSVP for Staff Training
‚Äč• Feb 11 (Th) at 8pm: RSVP for Staff Training 

Overnight Accommodations 

Ordeal staff are expected to stay overnight on Friday night and be prepared to camp since cabin assignments are limited. Eat prior to arriving on Friday evening. Service Day participants are welcome to camp. 

Ordeal Staff Positions

Most Arrowmen who are not ceremonialist or key staff will be assigned as an Elangomat or to serve on the service team. All staff should bring their own PPE (e.g., mask). 

Golden Ticket

Golden Ticket holders still need to register to staff the Ordeal to help ensure there is enough food. It's not too late to buy your Golden Ticket! The Golden ticket is an annual, one-time registration fee for the four main lodge events and unlimited Ordeal staffing. For one low price of $137 receive $200 of event registration value plus a limited quantity Golden Ticket patch. Click here for details.
