IOLS and Scoutmaster Training

Training is an important part of learning to become an effective leader. Trained leaders impact the quality of programs, leader tenure, youth tenure, and a whole lot more. A trained leader is better prepared to make the Scouting program all it can be! 

Sign up for one or both courses.

• Scoutmaster Specific Training is being held from 6:00 pm Friday to 10:00 am Saturday.

• IOLS is being held from 8:00 am Saturday to 12:00 pm Sunday

Working as patrols, Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS), a hands-on course provides adult leaders the practical outdoor skills they need to lead Scouts in the out-of-doors. Upon completion, leaders should feel comfortable teaching Scouts the basic skills required to obtain the First Class rank.

Scoutmaster Position-Specific Training is intended to provide troop leadership with the information and tools they need to lead successful Boy Scout troops.
