Welcome to Aquila  District Day Camp

June 2, 2014-June 6, 2014

Longfellow/ Bethany UMC

6:00 PM - 9:15 PM

“Discover and Explore in Space”

Day Camp is an opportunity for Scouts entering 1st – 5th grade during the 2014-2015 school year to make new friends, earn rank advancements, and enjoy BB guns, archery, sports, skills, and crafts.  Lots of volunteers are needed to make camp a success, so please consider volunteering.  Adult volunteers can also register their non-Scouting children ages 3-Kinder (potty trained) and girls ages 1st - 5th grade.  Boy Scouts from 6th grade - 17 and girls ages 14-17 can also volunteer.

Please read all information listed below carefully before proceeding!

Registration: It takes about 8 minutes per participant to register.  The medical form is now a part of the online registration process.  In order to complete the application, have a copy of the immunization records for every participant, emergency contacts and phone numbers, and carpool contacts and phone numbers. You have the opportunity to fill out an online medical form, if you do not complete the medical form online you are responsible for getting a filled out medical form to your Pack Coordinator.

Registration Type:

-Tot-lot (age 3 - Kinder and 1st grade girls with parent volunteer)

-Cub Scout (going into 1st-5th grade)

-Girl (2nd-5th grade with parent volunteer)

-Den Chief (6th-17 years old, parent volunteer, or scout leader required)

-Adult (full time)

-Adult (job sharing)

New this year:

Camp is now five fun-filled dates for everybody! All ranks will attend every day from Monday, June 2nd through Friday, June 6th.

The me-too program has been split. Younger children (potty trained, 3-1st grade) will be place in our Tot-lot, with special activities designed just for that age group. Older girls (2nd - 5th grade) can now tag-along with their Cub Scout brothers and will participate in the same activities that the Cubs do.

Adult volunteers can now job share. For example, a Walking Leader that could only attend camp Monday- Wednesday could pair with another adult to cover Thursday and Friday. Note: Twilight camp is not responsible for pairing job-sharing adults. Please work that out within your Pack. Do not register for job sharing without knowing whom you will be sharing with. All job sharing adults will still need to attend training.

Adult/Youth Ratio:   Each pack must have a minimum of one (1) adult volunteer (not including Tiger partners) register for every (3)  three youth that register per pack overall. For each group of Wolf, Bears, and Webelos at least (1) one adult walking leader is required for every (4) four youth of that rank. (Webelos 1 and 2 will be combined.) Every Tiger must have an adult partner (1 to 1 ratio). If your pack does not meet these ratios, then your pack may not be able to attend camp until sufficient adult volunteers are registered. If your pack does not meet this ratio, then your pack will not be able to attend camp.  Please consider volunteering. Note: 2 adults sharing a job count as a single volunteer for ratios purposes.

Den Chiefs: Den chiefs under the age of 14 must be under the direct supervision of a parent, guardian, or Boy Scout troop leader, or they must be at camp with the same Cub Scout/ Webelos den they serve in a local Pack. This adult must fill out a separate adult registration.

Payment:  At checkout, you may pay either with a credit card (with a $1.50 processing fee) or you can click the mail box option and send your payment to your Pack Coordinator.  If you chose the mailbox option, your registration will not be complete until payment is received.

To redeem a Scout Fair Coupon camp certificate prize, select the mailbox option and send the certificate to your Pack Coordinator.
