Saddle up for a wild, wild ride where friends are made, fun happens and a big "Howdy!" is the greeting of the day. Day Camp is an opportunity for Cub Scouts entering 1st – 5th grade during the 2016-2017 school year to learn new skills, play games, make friends, work on adventure loops, and have a great time!
Lots of volunteers are needed to make camp a success, so please consider volunteering. Full time adult volunteers can also register their non-Scouting children ages 3-5 (potty trained) or girls ages 6-13. Boy Scouts (under the age of 14) can register as den chiefs or for the service patrol, and boys and girls ages 14-17 can volunteer as junior staff.
Parents can register as full time volunteers or you can job share with another adult. Job sharing volunteers are two adults who split the camp and both adults will ensure coverage every day from opening to closing. This would count as one volunteer in the required adult to Scout ratio. Volunteers doing job share will need to find their own childcare arrangements for tots and girls. Job share adults pay $5.
Registration: In order to complete the application, please have carpool contacts (must have at least one) before beginning the registration process. It is very important to complete the entire process (through payment). All uncompleted registrations are deleted every evening at midnight.
Payment: At checkout, you may either pay with a credit card (with a $1.50 processing fee), or you can click the mail box option and send your payment to your pack representative or the Cockrell Scout Center. If you chose the mailbox option, your registration will not be considered complete until payment is received. Payment MUST be received at the Cockrell Scout Center at least two weeks before camp starts.
Adult/Youth Ratio: Each pack must have a minimum of one adult registered for every four youth registered.
