2016 Advancement Academy

Registration begins at 8:00- 8:30 am

Opening Session (Why Advancement?) 8:30- 9:00 am

The first class begins at 9am, classes end at 2:55pm.

Advancement Academy is a training for unit advancement chairs, committee members, unit leaders and district advancement committee members. Instructors will discuss advancements for all Scouts, training requirements and the 2016 advancement changes and training requirements. The day begins with an opening general session followed by program specific breakout sessions. There will be a working lunch and additional breakout sessions after lunch. See the schedule and description of sessions at www.shac.org/advancement-academy.

Advancement Academy will be held at the Cockrell Scout Center (2225 North Loop West, Houston, 77008) on Saturday, September 10, 2016 from 9 AM to 3 PM. You can order lunch from Jason's Deli for $8. Lunch must be ordered when registering. You also have the option to purchase the new 2015 Guide to Advancement for $10.00.
