Scouting for Food 2015 "KNOCK OUT HUNGER!"
UnitÃÂ Participation Registration
Register your pack, troop, team, crew, ship or post to participate in our largest Good Turn Project - Scouting for Food 2015.
Only the person must register for the unit.ÃÂ You DO NOT need to list every participant on this form.
Your assignedÃÂ area will be given to you by your district Scouting For FoodÃÂ chair.
InÃÂ partnership with the Souper Bowl of Caring, and in conjunction with The Super Bowl, we will notify our neighbors on Saturday, January 24, 2015 of ourÃÂ intention to collect foodÃÂ on the following Saturday,ÃÂ JanuaryÃÂ 31, 2015.
December: Promote and identify a unit Scouting for Food coordinator.
January: Pick up door hangers and maps at January Roundtable.
Door Hanger Distribution Day: On January 24, Scouts will distribute door hangers.
Collection Day: On January 31, collect resultsÃÂ including:
- Amount of food collected (number of cans and boxes)
- Number of Scout leaders, non-Scouting siblings, adult leaders (not registered with BSA)ÃÂ andÃÂ Scouts participating
- Organization that benefited from the project
Units must report service project hours and resultsÃÂ to both councilÃÂ and on the Journey To Excellence (JTE) website.
February & March: Upon reporting your unit results, your patches will be available at yourÃÂ Roundtable. Your District Executive must have a record of your submission on the JTE website to receive your unit's patches.ÃÂ If your unit participates on a different date, please report this information directly to your district Scouting For Food chair.
