2015 OA Trail Crew – El Rancho Cima

River Camp; Horseshoe Bend; Homestead Meadow; Appetite Hill; Iron Wheel Mesa; Blanco River; Sentinel Peak; Devils Backbone
2,680 acres of camping and trails in Sam Houston Area Councils premier camp in the Texas Hill Country. You have been there and enjoyed the camp but as arrowmen we give cheerful service to our camps. Here is an opportunity to provide service to El Rancho Cima by improving the trails at the camp. These trails are used for weekend campouts; orienteering; Philmont shakedowns; summer camp “death marches” or just enjoying a quite hike in the quiet of El Rancho Cima.
This is the 3rd year of OA trailcrew during spring break. Let’s do some service for those trails at El Rancho Cima that you have enjoyed but more important make it better for the scouts who have not yet enjoyed the experience.
Trail crew is not about work but about brotherhood. Sure we will spend time each day by giving service to the camp’s trails. However afternoon and nights is about brotherhood and fun. Good food at the end of each day cooked and eaten in the quiet of the camp. We will also have use of the camp facilities that are available; zip lines; looking at stars from Sentinel Peak; shooting sports.

3 Days and 4 nights of truly living the spirit of the order with your fellow Arrowmen. Check-in starts Friday night March 13 and ends Tuesday morning. We will provide service Saturday - Tuesday. If school is a conflict, come up Friday night and leave Sunday night.
